70 kW Generators for Sale

A Solid Middle Ground for Working Sites

There is a broad band of businesses too large for a compact standby unit and too small to justify heavy industrial plant, and a 70 kW generator is built squarely for them. Light manufacturing units, busy farms, cold stores, and commercial premises with mixed equipment loads all tend to land near this rating once everything that needs to stay running is added up. Our 70 kW diesel generators are put together for genuine working duty, delivering steady output through the fluctuations a normal operating day produces rather than only performing well on paper.

Terminology varies from one specification to the next, and a 70 kW genset describes exactly the same machine. Keeping a wide range of generators in our own warehouse as a leading stockist means a 70 kW diesel genset can often be on its way to site while other suppliers are still quoting a build date.

Enclosed for Noise and Weather

Machines of this size are rarely tucked away out of sight and earshot. They sit behind commercial units, in farmyards, and on small industrial estates where other people are working close by, which makes an enclosure the practical default rather than an upgrade. A 70 kW silent diesel generator keeps sound at a level that neighbouring businesses and nearby households can live alongside, so the unit can go where it makes operational sense rather than wherever the noise causes least trouble. Our silent generators page shows how the same approach applies at other ratings.

Protection from the elements comes as part of the same package. A 70 kW canopied diesel generator has its engine, alternator, and control gear shielded from rain and airborne dust from the day it lands, with lockable panels adding security on premises that stand empty overnight or at weekends. Nothing needs building around it first, so the unit can be positioned, connected, and commissioned without waiting on any structure.

Reliable 3 Phase Supply

A 70 kW 3 phase diesel generator delivers around 126A of balanced supply, which covers the compressors, machine tools, refrigeration plant, and ventilation equipment a working site runs simultaneously. Sizing at this level also leaves room for motor starting, where the current drawn in the first seconds can far exceed what the same equipment needs once it is up to speed, and where a tightly specified machine would be left labouring.

A 70 kW 3 phase genset earns its place as permanent standby cover on a commercial site and equally as a prime supply where no mains connection is available, and every unit we supply carries a control panel that sets out load, run hours, and operating status clearly for whoever is checking it. All of our 3 phase generators run at 50Hz, so they suit UK premises and export orders heading to markets on the same standard.

Guidance Built on Decades in the Trade

Getting the size right usually depends on asking the right questions about what has to run and when, and the 50-plus years of combined experience across our team means those questions come up before an order is placed rather than after the machine arrives. As an authorised dealer, our pricing across this range is the best available anywhere in the UK, with nothing sacrificed on build quality or on the support that continues once you are up and running.

Because we hold genuine stock rather than working purely to manufacturer lead times, a diesel generator from us fits your timescale instead of dictating it. If our range of 70 kW gensets aren’t quite the right fit for you, our neighbouring 50 kW and 80 kW ranges give you room to size up or down before settling on the best fit.
